In my younger years I participated in many 10ks, half-marathons, and three full marathons, getting a best time of about 3 hours and 45 minutes in Chicago’s 1981 marathon. I also tried a one mile run in Chicago’s Chinatown race, but unfortunately, I was ill when I ran it, and came in a tad under six minutes. I was hoping for under five minutes. I now have other hobbies.
